Dear Mrs. Scott,

I had the pleasure of meeting your husband while I was employed at BexarMet Water District. Judge Scott was very much a gentleman and I truly enjoyed hearing all his wonderful political stories. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Sincerely,

Yvonne Perez

Charles Edward Scott was more than my dear father in law, he was my friend. He often told me that I was his "favorite daughter in law"...of course, I was his ONLY daughter in law too. His sense of humor was something we shared and had in common along with appreciation of simple things. Early in our relationship, after Fred and I were married, Poppa took me on a walk to the park and down on the Blanco River. There we encountered lots of his friends: ducks, geese and squirrels along with a few human ones. It was also on this walk where he showed me the tree that is over a hundred years old and he wanted to illustrate just how big it was to me. He got on one side and I on the other and we hugged the tree and tried to hold each other's hands. "See!?" he said, "Look at how huge this tree is...you and I can't even reach around it!". Like I said, the simple things. I'll miss him beyond measure, I'll always love him the same.

Judge Scott was a very welcome and frequent visitor at the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library in the HEB Center at hwys 281 and 46.

He was alwoays looking for ways to help. He was a great supporter of the children's summer reading program for the library which I coordinated. He found ways to donate prizes for reading for the last two summers.

He, of course, was a superb storyteller, a skill which a children's librarian such as I would appreciate!

We have missed seeing him around for the last few months, and now we shall miss him even more.

Judge, thanks for being your wonderful self and adding so much to the world by your very presence.
